bodies ii

i want to explore your body;
it swings like branches in the wind when you move,
makes me wish i lived closer to the forest.

i want to feel your skin, turn the shadows off and on,
meet you in the daylight, know you in the darkness,
when our daytime pretenses are gone.

i want the sound of heavy, rasping breaths,
both sweating in the industrious heat,
until our able bodies fail.

i want the easing as our respective scents fade,
and the chill of early morning soothes
the eager ache.
